After you schedule your appointment, we'll install a new web-programmable thermostat in place of your existing thermostat. Installation generally takes a little over an hour.

When demand for electricity peaks, we'll send a signal over your broadband connection that "cycles" the compressors of participants' units. Your indoor fan continues to circulate cool air throughout your home during the conservation period.

As participating units are cycling, the demand for energy lessens. As a result, less electricity needs to be generated.
